How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Press “Select PDF file” and choose the PDF. A small preview appears for every page.
  2. Click the preview or the bin button of each page you want to remove. Selected pages turn red. Click again to undo.
  3. Press “Remove selected pages”. A new PDF without those pages downloads.

When it helps

Use it to drop blank pages that slipped into a scan, advertising or terms pages you do not want to print, or pages the recipient should not see. There is no need to install a PDF editor just to remove a cover or a trailing blank page.

The remaining pages keep their order, and their content is not compressed again, so quality is unchanged. The result is named after the original with -pages-removed added, so the original is never overwritten.

Are deleted pages really gone?

Yes. The new file is built only from the pages you keep, so the text and images of removed pages are not inside it. They are not merely hidden. Your original file is still on your device, though, so make sure you send the newly downloaded one.

All of this happens on your device. You do not have to upload a whole document to an unknown server just to take a sensitive page out of it.

Delete or split?

If only a few pages must go, this tool is quicker. If only a few pages must stay, typing that range in Split PDF is quicker. To drop pages 3 and 17 from a 50-page file, delete. To keep only pages 12 to 15, split. If the order must change as well, put the downloaded file into Reorder PDF pages.
