How to merge PDF files

  1. Press “Select PDF files” and choose two or more PDFs, or drop them on the box.
  2. Drag a file or use the up and down arrows to set the order. Remove a file with the X button.
  3. Use “Add more files” if you forgot one.
  4. Press “Merge PDF”. The result downloads as merged.pdf.

When it helps

Use it when a scanned contract was saved one page per file, when a quote, a certificate and a bank statement must be sent as one attachment, or when a cover page needs to go in front of a report. The order of the list is the page order of the result, so one look at the list before merging is all the checking you need.

Each page keeps its own size and orientation, so portrait letters and landscape drawings can be mixed. Text and images are copied as they are and are not compressed again, so quality does not change.

Why your files stay on your device

Most online PDF services upload your document to a server, process it there and delete it later. This tool downloads the merging code to your browser and runs it on your own computer or phone. Contracts, payslips and ID documents can be combined without sending them anywhere. Once the page has loaded, merging keeps working even if the connection drops.

Tips for getting the order right

If you prefix file names with 01, 02 and select them together, they usually arrive in that order. After that, just remember that the top of the list is the first page of the result. To fix the order of a few pages afterwards you do not have to merge again: move them in Reorder PDF pages, and add continuous numbering with Add page numbers.

FAQ

Is there a limit on the number of files?

No fixed limit. The work happens in your browser, so the practical limit is your device memory.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are. Text and images are not compressed again.

Are my files stored on a server?

No. Files are read and merged inside your browser and are not sent to any server.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in current Chrome, Safari and Samsung Internet. On a phone, use the arrow buttons to change the order.
